Love Dare- Dare 2 Love is Kind

Day 2: Love is kind
Be kind to one another, tender-hearted,forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also has forgiven you.—Ephesians 4:32
Today's Dare:
In addition to saying nothing negative to your spouse again today, do at least one unexpected gesture as an act of kindness.

Reflections:
It may be hard to forgive but it is needed to move on in life without always looking backwards.
To be kind, i had to first forgive. I am that person who always says i am fine... when really i am not. Forgiving does not mean forgetting, it means opening up to make room to grow. I have been shut down and turned off to letting us grow from a different point. Choosing to be kind and still not say anything negative, left more room than i thought possible to grow our relationship.

Yesterday i was in a forever kind of bad mood. No matter what things the hubs did to make me smile, i was just cranky still. He remained claim when speaking with me, and tried his hardest to make me smile. He got a little testy wit the children,  not understanding his tone makes all the difference. Instead of barking at him to change how he was speaking to the kids{and not doing it in front of them) i pulled the hubs to the side. We see things differently in parenting, which are some of our arguments. Being able to talk to each other with out negativity and with kindness has made out communication skills much better.

Nothing gets fixed over night, not even the smallest of issues. Knowing it will take time and being will to take that time, is what makes kindness worth it.
