Love Dare- Dare 2 Love is Kind

Day 2: Love is kind
Be kind to one another, tender-hearted,forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also has forgiven you.—Ephesians 4:32
Today's Dare:
In addition to saying nothing negative to your spouse again today, do at least one unexpected gesture as an act of kindness.

Love Dare - Day 1 Love is Patient

Day 1: Love is patient
Be completely humble and gentle; be patient,
bearing with one another in love.
—Ephesians 4:2 NIV

Today's dare:
The first part of this dare is fairly simple. Although love is communicated in a number of ways, our words often reflect the condition of our heart. For the next day, resolve to demonstrate patience and to say nothing negative to your spouse at all. If the temptation arises, choose not to say anything. It’s better to hold your tongue than to say something you’ll regret

Love Dare

Marriages go through their ups and downs as does mine. Even though in our home we have made choices and stuck by them, people can change their minds and do whats best in that moment. Love Dare is used often in my homes as a tool to remember what it takes to make it work. Doesn't mean it will be all perfect after that, but it does give a great stepping stone to being better. I sat and prayed and thought about the best way i could better serve my marriage, maybe remember why i am in it for 10 years, and over look the choices i have made good and bad. Those who know me really well know exactly what choices i make and that i stand behind them. With that said i am making a choice now.

Time ... Wait Whats That ????

There are those moments in life were you have to admit your mom was right. I never thought the day would come where these words would come out of my mouth, but let me tell you, when it comes to making enough time out of a little time ... well she was right !!

Everyone has the same amount of time each day, 24 hours! It is how we each as individuals choose to use our time. Do we sleep the day away, do chores in our homes, go to school, work a full-time job, maybe even two or three jobs, or even nothing at all? I know i stretch my time thin. I try to get whatever i can done in a day, and other days i get nothing done at all.

Time is time. You can not make more of it, cannot rewind it, trade it for better times, or wish time would go away. It is here to stay ... promise!

Don't Be A Bully ... Don't Raise A Bully !!

google.com
Growing up I was what you could consider the popular kid.
From as long as I can remember, I have always had all kinds of friends.
I was brought up to treat others the way I wanted to be treated.
When I went to school there was the usual fights and misunderstandings;
However, once I got to high school it changed.
If you weren't pretty, a jock, or something along those lines
you weren't cool enough.

Child Safety Tips for Beginner Parents

As a new parent, you know that the safety of your child is always your highest priority. Because your child will spend the majority of their time in your home, ensuring that it is secure should be one of the first steps you take to safeguard your child’s health and security. To help you with creating a safe environment where your child can grow and play, here are the most important safety tips that every new parent should know.

Invest in a Baby Monitor

Although every new parent wants to keep their baby as close to them as possible, the truth is that at some point you will need to leave your baby alone. Investing in a baby monitor is one way to know that your baby is safely sleeping even when you are in the other room. There are several types of baby monitors that you can choose from based upon your needs; however, many parents prefer a video monitor that can enable them to receive a visual image.

When Adults Act 9

Google
For children, friendships grow and friendships end. Children get over it pretty easily and tend to never give it a second thought. Us adults though, can't seem to do the same. Most of the time we allow things to build up to a boiling point and then it just blows up out of context.  Text messages dont help nor does being tired and sick.
I am only going into this as a way to vent, get out of my system and stop dwelling over it. I guess that is where i am at now...

A Home Becoming of A 50's Housewife

So i have been working on my home. Anyone who knows me knows i have pile after pile of hot spots in my home. Everything from mail to kids school work. How can i be a good hostess when i don't have somewhere warm and inviting for them to be hosted at??

So i am taking it room by room. First it was our living room, which i love!! Now it is time for the laundry room. I am so bad taking before picture, but did find pictures of before i moved in. I am looking to brighten my home and bring warmth to it. I want an organized home and a clutter free place to raise my kids.

Not the Best

!! Please excuse my writing, i am not feeling well and am doing this from my cell phone. I promised to have this up for those who asked for it no later than today. !!

A few of my local readers asked me to review a local diner. I have put great thought to it and decided to not share the name of the diner or those who work there. While my review will not be a surprise, there are still a few hard workers that should not have to suffer because of the rest. Those who asked for the review will know where i went.

Soccer, Winning, The Feeling of Being Proud

- From Moms Point of View:

The moment they realized they did it was a moment i do not think i could ever forget. The excitement that each of the girls showed, and the elation that displayed on their faces. The ran to JB, our goalie, embraced and celebrated. They know that they won, but i am not sure they understand what it means truly. The trained long and hard, and practiced many days a week. They had to beat out a handful of teams before even getting to the position that they were in to compete.

So the smiles, the tears, the laughter and excitement  mean more than i think they can grasp. But i think the simplicity behind taking this win for face value is what makes it mean even more to them. To see these young girls grow, to have coaches who love them enough to be tough on them, and to see them accomplish such a feat that meant so much to them not just us (parents) was a powerful moment. I am proud of them all, but even better they are proud of themselves.

Martin Luther King Jr. Day

The day to celebrate.
It may not be his birthday till April 4th, but
today we as a nation can celebrate the
things Martin Lurther King JR. has done for us.
Our kids have asked how we celebrate him.
Besides what they learned at school
i shared with them from this site.
There are many sites to look at.
Remember what freedom he has brought us
and what the loss of his life
has meant to us as Americans.
